de Boer Media

OoH

Role: Creative Director

Who wouldn’t want to see their ad on a Hudson News truck?

This was my main focus of attention for designing post cards we would send out to clients as part of a full line of press kits we later created at de Boer Media. de Boer, a dutch based company, is primarily known for their on-air and quick turn outdoor graphics. I was lucky enough to help build de Boer from the beginning. As their Creative Director, it all started from making their digital but yet futuristic ‘db’ logo. Below, you can see the logo as both a piece we created as it was engraved along with one of our 3D printed pieces.

PRESS KITS - OOH

Role: Creative Director. Copy provided.

After establishing the bold Dutch brand, selling de Boer was about showing off their cutting edge printing capabilities. What better way but with a flashy presskit. For the folder, it was about the bold ray of light orange truck with a ‘put your ad’ here idea on the truck as the focal point. The press kits included realistic postcards and photos that involved setting up photo shoots for the crowd shots and post production sprinkled in with some some Photoshop magic. The remaining pieces of the press kit involve key fact sheets and other helpful info to coerce you into putting your ad on the fleet of the Hudson News trucks. Lastly, also included in the mix are some of de Boer’s custom jobs down with clients like McDonalds to showcase some of the more high tech printing capabilities.

OOH BANNERS

Role: Art Director. Copy provided.

Without needing to be said, to grab the attention for OOH stuff, you need to go big or go him. And, that’s exactly what my idea was as the Art Director and Designer for turning the main character of the play ‘Jerusalem’ into a life-size giant to complement the dramatic performance of Mark Rylance’s character in Jerusalem. Additionally, the ‘gigantic’ feel is also achieved through the huge block playhouse typography, blasted out colors scheme and contrast of using the set piece of the trailer to the giant Rylance.
